About The Position

In the position of Electrical Engineer, you’ll contribute to hands-on product development, design reviews, and testing to deliver transformative, high-quality consumer products. This role focuses on New Product Introductions (NPI), product launches, and continuous improvements, ensuring compliance & safety with industry standards while enhancing functionality and consumer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in consumer product development, with expertise in prototyping, NPI, and compliance.
• Proficiency in electrical controls, schematics, and component specification for consumer products.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (UL, CSA, FCC) and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration in design, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Product Development & NPI Participate in hands-on design review, prototyping, and validation of consumer appliance electrical systems, including electronic components, control panels, graphical user interfaces, and mechanism controls.
• Support electrical aspects of NPI efforts, contributing to timely, high-quality product launches.
• Troubleshoot and refine designs to improve performance, reliability, and user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product design, manufacturing and quality teams to support efficient and reliable production processes, addressing design-to-production challenges.
• Assist in preparing test plans, reports and Product Engineering documentation.
• Product Safety & Compliance Work with suppliers of electrical components and compliance agencies to support product safety, reliability, and performance reviews.
• Ensure designs meet compliance standards (e.g., UL, DSA, FCC, DOE) through collaboration with third-party labs and internal teams.
• Provide technical expertise to support compliance activities, ensuring accurate documentation and minimal disruption.
• Collaboration Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, compliance specialists, and lab technicians.
• Actively participate in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting, applying a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing and product development teams.
• Occasional travel required.
• Other duties as assigned.
