Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Harness Design Engineer. In this role, you will support integration of all aspects of electrical systems; integrate source data from Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, and Weapon Systems design teams into the entire aircraft using applicable tools to meet harness design requirements; create wire schematics and diagrams to document the harness configuration; and create Build-to-Packages for detail parts, assemblies, and installations. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
  • Experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
