About The Position

We are Lockheed Martin This position is for a Flight Test Instrumentation Electrical Design Engineer. The selected candidate will participate in the electrical design efforts for the F-16 and F-22 lines of business. Primarily function as Electrical Engineer at Fort Worth supporting test sites and local activities. The candidate will be required to perform electrical design activities for the installation of flight test instrumentation electrical components to fulfill system design block diagrams of instrumentation systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing, understanding and releasing engineering drawings, creating technical designs using CATIA, selecting and understanding electrical components, creating work instructions, monitoring fabrication activities, providing liaison support with the fabrication shop and test sites, and providing mod support. This position will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with flight test instrumentation system designers and mechanical designers, mechanics and fabrication specialists, production engineering groups, and procurement to carry out the creation and installation of their designs. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with CATIA V5, Solidworks, or similar CAD software
  • Experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with flight test instrumentation electrical design
  • Experience with electrical design in an aerospace environment
  • Experience with digital/analog circuits, RF applications, digital/analog video, data recording/storage (Chapter 10), sensors applications
  • Familiar with sensor technology utilized in the test of aircraft structures (loads and vibration) and vehicle subsystems (environmental control systems, flight controls, propulsion, and aerodynamics).
  • Familiar with fighter aircraft technical data, maintenance practices, flight operations, and weapons
  • Strong communication, leadership, and people skills with the ability to work in an engineering and technician team environment
