About The Position

This position is for a Flight Test Instrumentation Operations Engineer and System Designer. The selected candidate will participate in the development and operational efforts for the F-16 and F-22 lines of business. Primarily function as Instrumentation Operations Engineer at Fort Worth supporting test sites and local activities. Tasks will include developing instrumentation requirements, schedules, resolving equipment and sensors selection problems and detailed system design of the instrumentation data acquisition system. Develops system software/programming for proper operation and data collection. Supports lab checkout required to resolve instrumentation data acquisition anomalies. Supports daily flight test operations by assuring a test ready instrumentation system. Interacts with flight test engineers and other test engineering disciplines involved in scheduling, testing and troubleshooting during developmental aircraft flight testing. Works across engineering, maintenance, and logistics function teams, and communicates instrumentation issues and status across these teams. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified materials. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline Experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics Experience with Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) theory Operational experience with Instrumentation systems Experience with digital data acquisition systems Desired skills Experience with digital/analog circuits, RF applications, digital/analog video, data recording/storage (Chapter 10), sensors applications Familiar with sensor technology utilized in the test of aircraft structures (loads and vibration) and vehicle subsystems (environmental control systems, flight controls, propulsion, and aerodynamics). Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Requirements
