About The Position

Are you an experienced electrical engineer that enjoys working with ships??
If so, our team in Washington, DC is looking for individuals to help support the United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group!
Responsibilities
Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center.
Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, electric propulsion systems, propulsion and machinery control systems, power generation and distribution systems, interior communications systems, various auxiliary electrical systems, and related equipment.
Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to electrical systems and components.
Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
Conduct electrical engineering analysis as they relate to vessels.
Create graphical representations of the systems.
Inspect equipment or systems.
Research advanced engineering designs or applications.
Monitor processes for compliance with standards.
Devise research or testing protocols.
Prepare technical reports for internal use.
Communicate technical information to suppliers, contractors, or regulatory agencies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Secret Security clearance
• At least 10 years of experience in:One of the following marine fields: electric propulsion systems; machinery control systems; power generation and distribution systems; or interior communications systems
• Ability to travel up to 20%

• The salary range for this position is USD $129,800.00/Yr. - USD $216,700.00/Yr.
• Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
