Electrical Engineer Intern

Novelis in Ashville, OH has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2026 internship. The team is seeking an Electrical Engineer intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in meaningful work and gain hands on industry experience. The person in this role will report to the Associate EMRA Leader and will be gain experience Electrical Engineering.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
- Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Nice To Haves
- Prefer students majoring in degree Electrical Engineer or related fields
- Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University
- Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation

Responsibilities
- Learn about industrial machinery, motor controls, software programming, and state of art PLC systems
- Provide support for various Electrical Engineering Projects.
- Perform Engineering drawing modifications.
- Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including aluminum rolling lines, mobile equipment, and furnaces.
- Work under the supervision of staff engineers on control plans, system testing, and machine commissioning
