Electrical Engineer Intern- Salisbury, NC
About The Position
The Electrical Engineer Intern will be responsible for the design and modification of existing equipment, troubleshooting with maintenance mechanics during planned outages, and assisting in the review and evaluation of proposed new equipment. This role involves developing engineering studies and reports, coordinating and managing projects, and providing assistance to production and maintenance teams. The intern will also work with outside vendors and representatives, communicate project objectives to team members, and coordinate activities with other internal groups. A key aspect of the position includes working with customers on rejects to provide internal process feedback, and applying SPC knowledge, including 8D and 5 Why methodologies, to achieve significant process improvements using historical data.
Requirements
- Must be hands working closely with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Products, Minitab, and other operating systems.

- Six sigma (preferred for SPC knowledge)
Responsibilities

- SPC knowledge able to produce significant process improvements via process historical data (six sigma preferred).
