The Electrical Engineer III (EE III) is a mid ‑ to senior ‑ level individual contributor responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of advanced high ‑ power, high ‑ voltage power ‑ electronics systems. This role requires demonstrated experience in PCB design for power converters, hands ‑ on laboratory testing of systems above 20 kW and 1,000 V, and the application of modern power ‑ electronics devices and topologies. The EE III owns discrete design and analysis tasks, works with moderate autonomy, and contributes across multiple projects from concept through validation. In this role, the EE III designs and analyzes electrical circuits and subsystems, develops and reviews schematics, layouts, and technical documentation, and supports PCB design, bring ‑ up, testing, and validation. The position involves troubleshooting at the circuit and system level and supporting integration with power electronics, embedded controls, and mechanical systems. The EE III applies experience with wide ‑ bandgap devices (SiC, GaN), gate drives, magnetics (inductors and transformers), and EMI/EMC design considerations, and works with converter topologies such as DAB/DAB ‑ SRC, NPC rectifiers, three ‑ level, and multi ‑ port converters. Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, LTSpice, PLECS, and ANSYS is required. The Electrical Engineer III collaborates closely with cross ‑ disciplinary teams and contributes to technical reports, proposals, and sponsor deliverables. Experience with digital control of power electronics (including current and voltage control modes, frequency modulation, microcontrollers, or FPGA ‑ based control), as well as exposure to solid ‑ state transformer technologies or wireless power transfer systems, is highly desirable. This role is ideal for engineers ready to take ownership of complex designs while continuing to grow technical depth and system ‑ level impact.
