About The Position

As an Electrical Module Design Lead, youll guide an electrical team of 1-3 members and coordinate cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems experts. Youll be responsible for hardware design from requirements analysis through schematic capture, managing layout constraints, supporting PCB layout, manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification. Youll collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop mission-critical hardware systems. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Requires 3+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 2 years of job-related experience. DoD Security clearance will be required, or a reasonable amount of time (18 months) will be allowed to obtain it. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required. You will primarily support the Strategic Systems area developing fire control and launch system hardware, with opportunities to work across GDMS.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 3+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 2 years experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Leading technical teams through hardware development
  • Circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs
  • Designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite
  • Working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers
  • Knowledge of implementation of encryption algorithms
  • Ability to execute a project from concept to production
  • Solid understanding of hardware development processes
  • Working knowledge of Siemens/Mentor Graphics Tools suite and FPGA design tools
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to digest customer requests into actionable requirements
  • Knowledge and application of EVMS and Control Account Management
  • Circuit and PCB design knowledge
  • Defense background is preferred, but not required
