About The Position

We are working with a successful engineering firm in the Orlando , FL area to bring an Electrical Engineer, E.I.T. shall develop the ability to produce comprehensive facility electrical designs while assisting the project engineer and, at a minimum, have the following capabilities: Understand advanced electrical theory/calculations, electrical system components and devices. Have the ability to comprehend and implement inputs and direction from the project engineer. Apply Revit, AutoCAD, photometric, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software to support project designs. Quickly develop knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices and the ability to apply them within the electrical design. Be able to develop and draft power, lighting and fire alarm plans, single line/riser diagrams, panel and light fixture schedules. Develop the understanding of the components of the mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems that will require power and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the electrical design. Attend internal and client coordination meetings with senior staff. Apply general engineering principles to develop problem solving abilities and technical expertise. Learn the basics of project management and project budgets. Expectation of technical and management growth to assume a more responsible role. Take personal ownership of the work produced.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and E.I.T. exam passed (required), military training, field experience, proven relevant technical experience.
  • Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, photometric, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software.
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.
