As a, Electrical Engineer Capital Project Manager will lead our Electrical Distribution system strategy development to help Target ensure seamless store operations through delivering stable and code compliant power distribution systems. You’ll define and implement tools and reporting to effectively monitor and measure program outcomes. You will build cross functional relationships with internal and external partners that will be critical to achieving the goals, processes and outcomes set. Partner and communicate with Lead Program Managers, the Stores organization, Property Management Field Teams, Target Construction, Target Technology teams, and Vendor partners as you define and execute on various program goals and initiatives. You will stay current with industry trends around electrical distribution equipment and the OSHA and NFPA codes that govern its ongoing maintenance. In this role, you’ll own accountability for capital and operating expenses associated with your programs and perform budget development, expense tracking, analysis and forecasting. In addition, you will partner across the enterprise with teams from distribution and stores to build out documentation for programs to help expedite power resiliency solutions. Requirements

  • Ability to manage projects, set timeliness, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use data and experience to detect trends, conduct root cause analysis, identify solutions and resolve issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking or making presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, can develop strong relationships with team members at all levels throughout the organization
  • 4-year degree, preferably Technical/Engineering capacity, or similar equivalent experience – specifically with electrical distribution equipment or another equivalent technology
  • 7+ years’ relevant experience
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe, SharePoint)
  • This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
