We are actively searching for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer Appleton, WI or Elgin, IL Job Description: Responsible for the conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming. Will work closely with other engineers and technical staff. Responsibilities also include providing engineering support for field service technicians and providing technical training at client facilities as needed. Supports the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards. Up to 40% domestic travel may be required, international travel is a possibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
  • 7-10 years of related high speed automation and electrical design experience.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen controlled capital equipment systems or machinery.
  • Excellent knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems.
  • Good organization, communication, analytical and project management skills. Good verbal and written skills utilizing office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel, up to 40%, including internationally

  • Specific experience in the Packaging industry a plus.
