For more information, visit www.momentivetech.com Electrical Controls Engineer The Electrical Controls Engineer will lead and support activities including PLC programming, electrical design power and control, evaluation, construction, startup, troubleshooting, and documentation of components to support New Product Introductions (NPIs) and process development by the Quartz Technology Team. This position will also support existing process equipment and systems utilized by the Quartz Technology Team to modify raw materials and create and test fused products. Strict adherence to site EHS requirements is required as is the ability to interface with manufacturing and procurement personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of control experience in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Previous experience in GE90-30 90-70 PLC and Proficiency Machine Edition programming environment, HMI programming, GE QuickPanel.
  • Current experience with Aveva Intouch Scanda environment for Plant Process Monitoring, developing screens, and adding data tags.
  • Placement, servicing, and communications of process/equipment monitoring and control devices.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of high power and high current applications such as power transistors and SCRs.
  • Current expertise with AutoCAD 2019 or higher to create new and existing schematics.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Proven organizational and teamwork skills within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned project objectives for scope, budget, and cash flow.
  • Also responsible for ensuring daily activities are aligned with NPI project priorities and working rigorously to complete project deliverables.
  • Understand and comply with all site EHS, engineering and electrical standards, and contribute innovative ideas to improve safety and promote efficiency.
  • Engage with operations, EHS, and procurement to support a smooth transition of NPIs from the Quartz Technology Team to Manufacturing.
  • Actively participate in the development of their own control engineering skills, functional competencies, and personal effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain key supplier/contractor relationships for consistent and reliable project execution.
