Position Summary: The Electrical Control Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing and quality assurance of electrical control panels according to detailed specifications and wiring diagrams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical control panel assembly, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical or electronics is a plus.
  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components and wiring techniques.
  • Ability to use hand tools, crimping tools, and multimeters for assembly and testing.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good computer skills (CAD skills and advantage)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs or team lift over 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with UL standards and electrical safety codes.
  • Experience working with a small team in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Wire and terminate electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, and power supplies.
  • Interpret and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings to complete assemblies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of wiring connections and component placements.
  • Inspect and test completed panels to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly or wiring issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Take direction from the production manager to achieve production goals.
