About The Position

The person in this role will be responsible for working with internal and external engineering and construction partners to complete the electrical portion of projects in support of building construction and utility modification projects in new and existing facilities. This support is needed starting immediately and currently does not have a defined end date. The position will be reassessed on a regular basis based on the investment plan and loading on the General Engineering team. The projects responsibilities will primarily focus on Medium & Low Voltage engineering applications inside and outside of facilities but will also have responsibilities managing other trades periodically. Location: Ft Wayne, IN (Onsite) Contract: Long-term with possible CTH after 6 months Work Schedule and Travel: Normal work hours are 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. However, depending on the project workload and manufacturing plant needs, occasional shifts in schedules will be required to provide coverage for project installations and start-ups requiring weekend or holiday coverage. Overtime work may be approved as needed but will not be typical. Work Plant Shutdowns as needed. This work could and will fall on weekends & Holidays. Expected travel up to 30%

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience, with strong communication skills and team involvement ability are essential.
  • Experience with electrical design standards, NEC regulations,and NFPA 70E standards and requirements.
  • Experience with Project Management or Project Coordination in an industrial manufacturing or commercial construction environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 3-5 years in consulting engineering as an electrical engineer
  • Preferred 3-5 years in construction project and site management

Responsibilities

  • Work with project partners to develop the project specifications required for successful project deployment.
  • Execute design studies related to process utility needs and facility utility capacity using both internal and external engineering partners.
  • Oversee development of detailed design engineering packages for constructing new or making modifications to existing facilities based on project needs utilizing multiple external engineering partners.
  • Perform and track procurement of necessary materials
  • Manage execution of all construction efforts including
  • Project cost and timeline estimation
  • Final Design
  • Bidding
  • Contracting
  • Schedule and Change management
  • Installation, commissioning and startup of the infrastructure equipment
  • Final project documentation and closeout in an industrial plant environment.
  • Be able to assist in the management of non-electrical trades that are typically found on an industrial construction site. For example, mechanical and civil engineering trades, etc.
