Electrical Buyer - Palmetto, GA
About The Position
Start (or grow) your career in construction procurement. You’ll learn the electrical buy-out process end-to-end while supporting an experienced buyer in the South Hill office. Ideal for a stable, local hire with high upside and a hands-on, detail-driven mindset. What You’ll Do Support RFQs, bid tabs, and PO creation for common electrical commodities (pipe, wire, conduit, gear, lighting, power distribution). Maintain procurement logs, delivery schedules, and submittal status; update trackers and reports. Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, releases, and expediting; assist with discrepancies and returns. Partner with PMs/field teams to align deliveries with install sequences; escalate risks early. Learn plan/spec reading, material takeoffs, and job-cost alignment under mentorship.
Requirements
- 0–2 years in construction, distribution, or an electrical apprenticeship (trainable candidates encouraged to apply)
- Clear communication, strong follow-through, and spreadsheet/ERP comfort.
- Curiosity, ownership, and the drive to learn fast in a process-rich environment.
- In-office presence in South Hill, VA ; team-oriented with long-term growth ambitions.
