About The Position

Viracon LLC Shift: Monday - Wednesday 6pm - 6am, every other Thursday LG: Tech 13 Pay: Starting at $31 DOE Journeyman licensed. Read blueprints or technical diagrams. Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Ability to trouble shoot, repair and rebuild equipment without direct supervision. (Individual will also be expected to control inventory and enter in work being done on equipment with computerized maintenance program.) Essential Job Responsibilities: Able to install, alter, repair, and supervise the installing, altering and repairing of electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment or light, heat, and power. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participates in Viracon’s Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team’s performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements. Qualifications: Journeyman license, plus two-year degree in electronics with three plus years’ experience in electrical/electronic area or four plus years of experience in a related field. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English). Familiar with operating power tools. Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
