About The Position

We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for Electronic Assembly: An Electronic Assembler builds and tests electronic products by following blueprints and instructions. Key duties include soldering components, wiring, mounting parts onto circuit boards, and performing quality checks to ensure the products meet specifications. This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various hand tools and measurement devices in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required
  • Must be team oriented and able to communicate and interface with others to execute manufacturing schedules
  • Manual Dexterity. Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for working with small parts.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints and perform tasks like soldering and wiring.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools (pliers, wire cutters, screwdrivers) and specialized equipment like soldering irons. Knowledge of electronic components and basic circuit functionality is essential.
  • Ability to comprehend specifications, production requirements, procedures, and production drawings
  • Must be a US citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications (Preferred): Relevant industry certifications, such as J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 soldering certification and IPC/WHMA-A-620 can be highly beneficial
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Relevant military experience in electronic equipment or applicable trade school training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, circuit boards, and wire harnesses into larger systems.
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, detailed work instructions, and technical specifications to determine material requirements and assembly procedures.
  • Perform skilled hand work, including soldering (through-hole and surface mount), crimping, and wiring to create secure electrical connections and harnesses, following proper techniques to prevent defects.
  • Mount parts and components securely into casings or larger assemblies.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of products and subassemblies using testing equipment (e.g., multimeters) to verify functionality and ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications (such as IPC standards).
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures, including proper handling of sensitive components (e.g., electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection) and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain accurate records of the assembly process, test results, and any issues encountered during production.
