Job Responsibilities Responsible for optimizing the production systems during shift and off hours, if needed. Responsible for troubleshooting, advising, and eliminating all related issues while on duty; “First Responder” to all automation issues. Assist in the development and implementation of work procedures, PM's and LOTO. Participate in down days, outages, and special projects. Participate in plant 5S and Lean manufacturing programs as well as all continuous improvement activities. Continuously and actively participate in "Root Cause Analysis" meetings to determine and rectify problematic automation issues in production processes. Participate in safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations. Be an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required.
  • The candidate must have a solid understanding of automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks.
  • Candidate must understand and be fluent with data acquisition systems such as IBA.
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of the various signals involved in automation that will be required, such as encoders, load cells, 4 to 20ma, 0 to 10 vdc, etc.
  • The candidate must have substantial experience with variable frequency drives and understand the theory of operation of the various subsystems.
  • Experience with industrial power systems is a must.
  • Ability to organize and explain complex data in a clear manner.
  • Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated capability of results through people, technology, and process.
  • Strong safety awareness and experience.
  • SAP & general computer knowledge preferred

Nice To Haves

  • AA/AS/BS or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Siemens experience is a plus!
  • Seamless Pipe Mill Experience a huge plus!
