About The Position

Member of specialized team supporting numerous collaborative projects with internal and external customers & government agencies to advance the future of flight with electrification. This is a small team within GES supporting Aerospace and ARC projects. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities The candidate is expected to drive design, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for electrification of flight programs, often under the challenge of short machine prototyping schedules and milestones. This includes bridging and adapting technical ideas from the research & design to hands-on employee directed actions/tasks in prototype building and testing the components and systems to meet the expected flight quality standards. The major thrust of this position is the application, coordination, and directing of mechanical design and analysis of electric machine components and assemblies to drive the strategy and quality required to successfully manufacture and test. This includes the application and review of engineering disciplines, manufacturing development, supplier qualification and business partner requirements, ensuring the design intent from conceptual definition to finished product is achieved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 10 years work exposure to power generation equipment and electric machine design
  • 8 years in aerospace hardware, tooling, component prototyping and development of quality and manufacturing standards
  • Deep understanding with design and application for 3D additive manufacturing
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute technical solutions
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
