This position has remote working capabilities, but will require local & regional travel to client offices and project sites. This allows us to best serve our localized utility clients as needed. Project types will range from fixed fee, T&M, and EPC contracts in a dynamic field of engineering focused on Power Utility work in an OH, UG, or URD environment. Role requires managing project and program performance of engineering deliverables including risk, schedule, and quality. Project Manager is responsible to ensure day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering in areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Coordination of third party companies and subcontractors may also be required. Assignments are typically focused on a single Client with multiple projects and business development with in person Client meetings. Typical tasks include internal and external reporting of financials, project progress, and change management. Support to internal execution teams typically involves tracking and controls of key performance indexes and analysis to staff for project success. The successful Project Manager I candidate will support the following activities with moderate oversight from a Lead Project Manager: Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects (both public-owned and investor-owned utilities). Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting. Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines. Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements. Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams. Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes. Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks across programs. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel. Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses. Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines. Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
