About The Position

The Education Technology Specialist is responsible for the technical assembly, organization, quality control, and deployment of training content created by 9-1-1 subject matter experts within the CommsCoach platform. This role focuses on systems, content production, and platform operations rather than content authorship. This is a hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who enjoys turning instructional inputs into polished, structured, and scalable learning assets.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Experience assembling, formatting, and publishing training or enablement content.
  • Comfort working independently and managing multiple content streams.
  • Strong written communication and content organization skills.
  • Ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering or publishing content within an LMS.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with SCORM publishing and LMS deployment (SCORM 1.2 or 2004), including uploading packages, configuring completion tracking, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Basic video editing experience using tools such as Camtasia, Descript, or similar.
  • Experience supporting training, enablement, or education programs in a SaaS or technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Training content assembly and production
  • Assemble SME-provided source materials into production-ready training assets using established templates and brand standards.
  • Format and QA content, facilitator guides, quizzes, and reference materials for clarity, consistency, and usability.
  • Apply branding, layout, and accessibility best practices across all training materials.
  • Learning platform and LMS operations
  • Publish, organize, and maintain training content within the LMS, including courses, modules, lessons, assessments, and downloadable resources.
  • Configure course settings, learner access, completion criteria, and reporting parameters.
  • Maintain a clean, scalable training library using consistent naming conventions and taxonomy.
  • Content systems and lifecycle management
  • Own the operational workflow for education content from intake through publishing and updates.
  • Maintain version control and ensure updates are applied accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain templates, documentation, and repeatable processes that support scalable content production.
  • Quality assurance and maintenance
  • Perform thorough QA prior to release, including formatting, links, media playback, and accuracy checks.
  • Update and re-publish content as software features, workflows, or training requirements evolve.
  • Media and asset preparation
  • Provide light video and media support such as trimming recordings, assembling decks, and preparing supporting materials.
  • Coordinate with SMEs to ensure all assets are complete and ready for publishing.
