About The Position

The eLearning Designer/Developer participates is all functions of technology applications development life cycle utilizing TNC’s basic project management discipline. The eLearning Designer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering materials and learning tools (e.g. traditional courses, online courseware, performance support, and documentation). Provide administrative support for the learning management system (LMS) and users, including creating and maintaining LMS content and contributing as a member of the support team. Apply sound Instructional Design Principles and deliver quality products based on internal processes and tools. Develop learning programs that may be delivered through various methods (e.g. in-person, virtual, multi-media, and eLearning). Create infographics, videos, and custom graphics to be used in marketing, eLearning or other course related items. Create sound graphic design layouts, videos, and animations. Collaborate and work effectively with various user communities across TNC and with partners. Have the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and terminology to a non-technical audience. Conduct learning needs analysis, provide technical writing and develop online training using development tools and technologies. Eager to learn technologies quickly, along with recommending new technologies and software to the team. Identify opportunities to leverage AI into instructional design and learner experience. Collaborate daily with information technology and desktop automation tools, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment, with need to manage against multiple deadlines. Familiarity with learning data, including xAPI concepts and the use of tools such as PowerBI to create learning dashboards, is a plus. This position may be required to travel 15% or more to US and non-US locations and work long hours during peak workload periods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field and 2 years’ progressive experience in an IT field or equivalent combination.
  • 2 years progressive experience in developing online and classroom learning plans
  • Be able to conduct learning needs analysis.
  • Experience developing learning programs that may be delivered through various methods (e.g. in-person, virtual, multi-media, and eLearning).
  • Create infographics and custom graphics to be used in marketing and training material.
  • Strong multi-media skills with the ability to create sound graphic design layouts, videos, illustrations, and animations.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with various user communities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and terminology to a non-technical audience.
  • Eager to learn technologies quickly.
  • Manage vendors and consultants.
  • Proficiency in online training development tools and technologies such as: Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Learning Management Systems, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Understanding of learner and system support.
  • Experience in interactive platforms such as Zoom, Mural, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment, with need to manage against multiple deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Monitoring and evaluation experience.
  • Experience delivering in-person and/or live web training.
  • Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence and HTML/HTML5 a plus.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Familiarity with learning data, including xAPI concepts and the use of tools such as PowerBI to create learning dashboards.
  • Totara/Moodle experience a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI to support instructional design and learner experience.
  • Administrative support for a learning management system (LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct learning needs analysis both internally and externally.
  • Develop online training using development tools and technologies.
  • Work daily with information technology and desktop automation tools, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software and courseware.
  • Technical writing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups, and maintain integrity of organizational technology standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Deliver quality products based on internal processes and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment, with need to manage against multiple deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% in both US and non-US locations, at times in remote or difficult areas.
  • Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods.
