What you will be doing: E-filings in both state and federal courts. Schedules court appearances and depositions. Drafts letters, email correspondence, notices, subpoenas, and basic pleadings. Word processing, including proofing briefs, creating tables of authorities and tables of contents. Heavy calendaring including maintaining attorneys' calendars of appointments and deadlines as well as reminders. Communication with opposing counsel, court clerks, experts, and vendors. Overseeing service of pleadings. Communications with clients to obtain or provide information. Anticipating next steps relative to the case and documents that need to be prepared.
