United Health Services is hiring an EKG Technician! The EKG Technician will ensure that Cardiology Services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those served include inpatients and outpatients, United Health Services staff, and employees, as well as affiliated United Health Services. community groups as needed. Priority is given to services which directly affect patients and supervised staff.   • Performs Adult EKGs
  • Performs Pediatric EKGs
  • Performs Holter Monitor setup
  • Downloads and scans Holter Monitors for physician interpretation.
  • Performs Stress Tests (Dobutamine, Lexiscan, Persantine, Cardiolite, Regular).
  • Performs Pacemaker checks on inpatients.
  • Manages clinical systems for testing storage, retrieval and editing (MUSE).
  • Manages patient healthcare information system (Soarian).
  • Assists in the training.
  • Provides supervision and guidance in their performance of the entire range of cardiac procedures.
  • Reviews patient's previous EKG for comparison on purposes.
  • Reviews test results for indications of abnormalities and notifies physician of findings.
  • Distributes test results for physician's interpretation.
  • Notifies nursing unit when department is ready for inpatient testing.
  • Maintains/cleans equipment on a daily basis.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
  • Delivers reports to nursing units.
  • As required, performs job duties of the Medical Info Processing Clerk (receptionist).
  • Transports/escorts patients to and from nursing units and ancillary departments.
  • Places and monitors patients on heart/bp/pulse oximetry monitor.
  • Stocks and maintains crash carts and patient rooms.
  • Performs vital signs.
  • Assists in patient's personal care as outlined by physician or department manager.
  • Abides by service delivery standards.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Previous Cardiopulmonary experience including medical terminology.
