About The Position

Performs electrocardiograms and other cardiographic tests as directed by a Physician.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience performing EKG’s.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrocardiograms, including stress tests, holter monitoring and trans-telephonic beepers on patients as directed by a Physician.
• Provides patient with education concerning cardiac testing; explains procedure/process of cardiac testing and equipment to be used to patient.
• Ensures adequate stock of supplies and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Maintains general order and complies with Infection control policies for work area and equipment.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate supervision.
• Documents activities on approved hospital forms and according to department policy and procedure.
• Performs related duties, as required.
