About The Position

Organization: ABSMC-Alta Bates Summit Med Center Position Overview: Performs 12 lead EKGs on adults and neonates and processes appropriate paperwork to complete test. Applies and removes 24-hour Holters. Schedules all aspects of testing when appropriate. Performs transcription and billing as necessary. Responds to codes and performs SAECG. Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
EKG-Technician
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Demonstrated knowledge of EKG procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of billing procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of typewriter/computer.
Types at least 40 wpm on electric typewriter or computer keyboard.
Knowledge of relevant clinical terminology.
Work effectively and positively with other employees.
Communicates effectively and clearly with patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

Associate's: College coursework in health sciences desirable.
Other: Prefer demonstrated formal education program in EKG.
Previous EKG or monitor experience in CCU preferred.
