Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required
  • License: N/A
  • Experience: Prefer completion of EKG course and six months to one year of Cardiac Stress Testing or relevant experience required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Prefer completion of EKG course and six months to one year of Cardiac Stress Testing or relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs cardiography procedures including EKGs, and cardiac stress testing.
  • Provides application of, education of Holter and event monitor. Including processing the data collected upon return of monitor. Trouble shoots patient concerns.
  • Provides emotional support, comfort, general assistance and information to patients.
  • Maintains and operates equipment.
  • Performs associated clerical and coordination activities including scheduling, charging, and sending/storing data.
  • Documents tasks and results to the patient record.
  • Assists MD with daily flow of clinic patients obtaining vital signs, height, weight, etc.
  • Transports patients
