EKG TECHNICIAN
About The Position
How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Full time. Day shift. Rotating weekends and holidays. Performs 12-Lead EKGs, places event and holter monitors, processes EKGs to be read and assists with patient and staff education. Perform diagnostic 12-Lead electrocardiograms Places both event and holter monitors in a timely and efficient manner Processes EKGs in MUSE and transmits to Cardiologist for interpretation Processes individual patient charges Serves as a resource. Trains ancillary personnel in the performance of EKGs, and provides education to patients and staff about event and holter monitor placement For CRMH: Assists with monitoring and recording EKGs during treadmill and chemical stress testing
Requirements
- Education: Must successfully complete Cardiac Arrhythmia course within eight weeks of hire.
- Experience: One year of Nursing Assistant or comparable patient care experience preferred.
- Previous EKG and rhythm recognition preferred.
- Licensure/certification: Current BLS, NA if applicable.
- Other Minimum Requirements: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills required.
- Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Nursing Assistant or comparable patient care experience preferred.
- Previous EKG and rhythm recognition preferred.
