About The Position

About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves. Scope of Work Performs Electrocardiograms in a variety of settings, which could include outpatient, the Emergency Department, and all in-house locations. Maintains equipment. Will maintain sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services. Performs clerical duties such as computer entry, filing, recording, and mailing and reports as needed. Completes all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Completion of EKG training, either an exclusive EKG training program or as part of other educational programs. Prior work experience that included performing EKGs may be considered as fulfillment of this requirement.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
• Light typing.
• Knowledge of normal and abnormal EKG data.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience as an EKG technician, preferred.
