About The Position

Our EDI and Interoperability Systems (EDIS) team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring an EIT Operations Team Lead . In this role, you’ll manage both people and delivery. You’ll coach Product Owners & Business Systems Analysts, own discovery-to-delivery requirements, and partner with product, architecture, engineering, and data teams. Ideal candidates for this role will bring: Health plan payer/provider domain experience (ex: eligibility/enrollment, claims/encounters, remittance, prior auth, clinical data exchange) Healthcare data integration experience with X12 EDI and HL7 FHIR/APIs A product mindset : road mapping, prioritization, and continuous improvement using Lean/flow metrics and AI/automation Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management experience across business, technical, and external partners Technical fluency with SQL and Tableau or Power BI ITIL service management experience with ServiceNow or equivalent tools SAFe experience with Azure DevOps (boards, backlogs, queries, dashboards) Note: Sponsorship is not available for this role. This role does not require on-call support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years - Experience in Information Technology or applicable industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of information technology concepts, methodology, terminology, and standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office and email skills are required
  • Ability to adapt in a high pace and regularly changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
  • Must be willing to adjust schedule to participate in maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on the monitoring of systems, fulfillment of requests, and process optimization.
  • Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work.
  • Provides staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff.
  • Conducts performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promotes professional development of staff.
  • Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Ensures adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations.
  • Actively participates in project teams, manages and tracks team-level project details, and provides leadership during periods of transition.
  • Employees may be required to participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
