Get ready to enter an immersive journey into the world of technology with an internship that will elevate your skills and ignite your IT career! The Duke Energy Training Technology and System Operations Summer Intern program is designed for presently enrolled college students looking to bring their skills, innovative mindset, and passion to the energy sector. IT Interns will participate on a variety of compelling business and technical ventures while gaining invaluable on-the-job experience. They will gain familiarity with the organization and the company’s business operations by networking with other Interns and more senior level employees, as well as honing their own skills for future, practical application. The Training Technology and System Operations intern will have the opportunity to work with a mentor who will guide and support the student in their professional development. Additionally, the student employee will be given projects to work on independently, allowing the student to build skills and think creatively.

Requirements

  • Enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT or related major, such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or other Analytics degree
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Must not graduate prior to August 2026
