Job Summary: The Fluke Industrial Waste Technician Supports environmental compliance and operational excellence by managing, monitoring, and maintaining all aspects of industrial waste collection, segregation, storage, and disposal. This role ensures compliance with Federal, Washington State, and City of Everett environmental regulations, including but not limited to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA), Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA), and Department of Transportation (DoT), while also supporting sustainability initiatives through proper waste handling documentation and reporting for four separate facilities located in Everett, Washington. Key Responsibilities: Waste Management and Handling Collect, label, and segregate hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams according to appropriate regulatory and company requirements. Inspect and maintain waste storage areas (satellite and central accumulation areas) for compliance with environmental regulations. Coordinate waste pickups and manifesting with approved disposal vendors. Operate waste handling equipment such as compactors, neutralization systems, or wastewater treatment units (as applicable). Ensure proper storage and disposal of universal waste (batteries, printed circuit boards, electronic assemblies, etc). Compliance and Documentation Maintain accurate waste accumulation logs, manifests, inspection records, and disposal documentation. Support periodic inspections and audits by internal EHS, external agencies, or third parties. Assist in preparation of required environmental reports such as hazardous waste summaries or biennial reports. Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DoT, and OSHA standards, including Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). Environmental Support Activities Support spill response, cleanup, and reporting efforts, as needed. Conduct environmental sampling (e.g. - waste and storm water, or solid waste), as directed. Assist with chemical inventory management and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) updates. Provide training or guidance to production personnel on waste segregation and environmental best practices. Sustainability and Continual Improvement Participate in environmental and sustainability initiatives to drive zero waste goals. Identify opportunities through supporting the optimization of process parameters to reduce waste generation and improve recycling or reuse. Identify and implement water saving measures, such as leak detection, to reduce water usage.
