About The Position

The EHS representative assists with developing and implementation of workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducts risk assessments, trains employees, investigates incidents, and promotes a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and coordinating corrective actions. This role administers EHS activities at the site, in accordance with ISO 45001,14001, & 50001 standards to ensure their alignment with the global Fresenius-Kabi mission, objectives, principles, and compliance with all applicable State, Federal and Local laws, regulations, statutes and ordinances designed to minimize risk and protect the health and safety of our employees and the environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Must have knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, & 50001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of EHS and ISO programs designed to mitigate workplace injuries and illnesses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address site issues related to the Safety, Health, & Environmental, & Energy.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and assist in developing preventative and corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Promote systems to encourage the reporting of all accidents, injuries, (regardless of severity) near misses, hazardous conditions, and that they are being investigated and corrected in a timely fashion.
  • Deliver workplace training and coaching as required or necessary.
  • Partner with the Employee Safety Committee, and area safety representatives to ensure their value-added participation.
  • Assist with environmental program/permitting inspections, monitoring and reporting and supporting site hazardous waste management efforts, SDS management and Hazard Communications.
  • Perform safety walks and drive closure on continuous improvement items.
  • Assist with the closure on audit findings.
  • Maintain inventory of safety equipment and PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
