The Safety & Health Manager provides leadership and direction for a designated site’s safety and health program and is responsible to develop, communicate, and lead deployment of policies programs, and strategies utilizing Marvin’s values-based principles. The manager is the primary Safety & Health role at a facility and leads the local S&H team with a bias towards team and individual development. These duties will be carried out at a specified Marvin facility, with the role reporting up through the Operations structure at the designated location. Highlights of your role Ideate, develop, and lead site-specific Safety & Health programs and ensure adherence to enterprise policies, programs, and procedures, at a minimum Be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations Collaborate with Enterprise Safety & Health on leading S&H initiatives Ensure enterprise policies and programs regarding safety are compliant at a site level and administered regarding federal, state, and local regulations and company requirements. Develop and update rules, regulations and operating procedures minimizing exposures to identified safety hazards and risks Participate in cross-facility Safety & Health audits to ensure maximum performance and adherence to policy and procedure consistently across the enterprise Develop and execute, in coordination with other leaders, a strategic annual goal setting plan for eliminating injuries and accidents through proactive risk identification and mitigation Monitor, analyze and report Safety and Health data for trends and areas of concern Act as primary lead on obtaining or maintaining OSHA VPP Star compliance Keep abreast of Safety legislative/regulatory changes that may influence business functions Champion the establishment of effective investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions designed to improve Safety and drive to a culture predicated on injury prevention Lead the local Safety & Health team including making hiring decisions, developing, and training team members, maintain a staffing ratio that is consistent with enterprise model Manage OSHA, VPP, and employee health and wellness, as well as other training needs and improvement programs Participate in annual professional development in addition to the required education/training expectations for this position
