About The Position

To lead and manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function at the site level by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, company standards, and management systems. The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS programs that promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace, while supporting operational excellence, risk reduction, and a strong safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain site Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and programs in alignment with company and global EHS standards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, state, and local authorities.
Maintain EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 where applicable.
Drive a fact‑based, continuous improvement culture focused on injury prevention, environmental protection, and risk reduction.
Serve as the site owner for EHS documentation, procedures, and records within the document control system.
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
Lead incident investigations, near‑miss reporting, and root cause analysis; ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and documented.
Manage safety training programs, including new‑hire orientation, emergency response, equipment operation (e.g., forklift, lifts, harnesses), and annual refresher training.
Coordinate and document emergency preparedness activities, including fire, chemical spill, tornado, and evacuation drills.
Maintain and update EHS work instructions, procedures, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Perform internal EHS audits and support external regulatory or certification audits as required.
Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, including incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
Support workers’ compensation claims, injury reporting, and coordination with medical providers as required.
Ensure all required EHS records, permits, and reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Actively promote safety awareness and employee involvement through safety committees, meetings, and communication initiatives.
Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action related to safe work practices and compliance with EHS policies.
Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management to integrate EHS considerations into daily activities and improvement projects.
