About The Position

We’re hiring an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, safety at our Turner Road Vintners winery in Lodi. You’ll own regulatory compliance, emergency readiness, and community protection—partnering with Corporate Environmental and Safety SMEs to design, implement, and continuously improve programs that keep people safe and operations compliant with EPA, Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and other agency requirements. You’ll serve as the site representative for inspections and permitting, lead incident investigations and root-cause actions, manage industrial injury response and worker’s compensation coordination, and oversee environmental monitoring, hazardous waste, and contractor safety during projects. You’ll build, coach, and develop a small team to consistently apply EH&S processes, maintain training and certification programs (first responders, HazMat, heat exposure, drug testing protocols), and drive Process Safety Management and Risk Management.. You’ll engage site leadership, negotiate with agencies, support legal and corporate teams during enforcement actions, and act on-site authority to pause operations if imminent risks are identified—always balancing safe operations with operational continuity. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of environmental health & safety management, process safety management, manufacturing risk management planning, behavioral based safety, environmental management, or process engineering experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of environmental health & safety management, process safety management, manufacturing risk management planning, behavioral based safety, environmental management, or process engineering experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility.
  • Supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience managing environmental, health, or safety function(s) for a manufacturing organization.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of CPG environmental health & safety management experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management principles.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Experience to writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Experience effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
