About The Position

Contract Safety Professionals LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Representative for a major, 4 -year data center construction project in the Milwaukee, WI area. The ideal candidate will be an independent contractor who serves as the on -site safety expert for our general contractor client. This role is critical for implementing and overseeing safety programs, ensuring compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture on a dynamic and complex project site.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct field safety experience on large -scale commercial or industrial construction sites.
  • OSHA 510 certification is mandatory.
  • Proven, verifiable experience working on data center construction projects.
  • Ability to work effectively as an Independent Contractor (1099 status).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence behavior at all levels of the project team.

Nice To Haves

  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification or higher (e.g., CSP, CHST).
  • Additional OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 500, 30 -hour).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on -site EHS representative, providing daily safety oversight and technical guidance.
  • Implement and enforce the project safety and health plan, emergency action plans, and all associated procedures.
  • Conduct daily site walks, safety inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Lead and document safety meetings, including daily toolbox talks and weekly crew meetings.
  • Investigate all incidents, near -misses, and property damage events to determine root cause and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Review and inspect equipment, tools, and work practices to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed EHS records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training documentation.
  • Collaborate with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors to proactively address safety concerns.
