About The Position

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is seeking a motivated Onsite EHS Intern to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced EHS professionals and gain real-world exposure in a dynamic manufacturing environment. If you are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, this internship will give you meaningful experience that builds both technical expertise and leadership capability. As an EHS Intern, you will contribute directly to building and sustaining a high-performing safety culture. You will also provide weekly updates, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage with subject matter experts to accelerate your learning. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write reports, procedures, and training materials
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of corporate EHS programs and standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across site operations
- Participate in site EHS committees and safety initiatives
- Assist in incident investigations and follow-up actions
- Support Management of Change (MOC) reviews to ensure compliance
- Create safety reports and training materials
- Schedule and assist with industrial hygiene activities
- Maintain SDS documentation and EHS databases
- Support PPE risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Monitor contractor safety compliance and Safestart Now team progress
- Participate in facility safety inspections and hazard identification
- Develop working knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
