The Role The EH&S Engineer I will support day-to-day facility operations and ensure environmental compliance by monitoring and improving air pollution control, discharge water, and solid and hazardous waste management. The EH&S Engineer I will also be responsible in performing Job Safety Analysis’s (JSAs) as well as department hazard reviews. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in environmental engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment; experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Office 365.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work well with others and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO14001 requirements a plus.
  • Experience in environmental regulatory activities a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist plant personnel in environmental permit preparations and regulator reporting activities.
  • Assist management in developing and tracking environmental objectives and targets.
  • Evaluate current systems and design innovative ways to improve or replace the existing systems or process.
  • Support and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety and quality department programs and requirements.
  • Provide problem solving expertise for a wide range of technical problems for environmental projects.
  • Pollution-control and waste treatment planning.
  • Update environmental procedures.
  • Conduct environmental assessments.
  • Investigate, record, and compile reports for environmental-related incidents.
  • Responsible for planning and executing projects as assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Prepare MOC’s as required.
  • Conducting site JSAs and Hazard Assessments.
  • Ability to cover on call schedule as production needs demand.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
