Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required
  • 4-year college degree required.

  • Temperature extremes of up to 110 degrees in peak summer months

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OSHA’s VPP program preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 hour course desired.

Responsibilities

  • Administering, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all Environmental Health, and Safety systems.
  • Coordinate all activities required to maintain VPP Star status.
  • Coordinate safety training & education of all plant associates and maintain records of such.
  • Develop safety milestones, celebrations and training programs.
  • Leads facility safety team.
  • Conducts and oversees plant inspections and audits.
  • Ensures the plant meets or exceeds all state & federal safety guidelines.
  • Oversees all injuries/incidents/accidents scenes, directs investigations and maintains reports.
  • Works with local doctors and hospitals to get injured employees back to work.
  • Responsible for coordinating workers compensation claims.
  • Provide good communication between all departments and shifts concerning safety issues.
  • Put in place metrics to measure the effectiveness of the site’s safety and quality systems.
  • Accountable for broad associate involvement in plant safety and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
