The Environmental, Health and Safety function concerns itself with the health and safety of the plant employees through prevention of accidents, illnesses, and injuries as well as the protection of the environment. Included in the EHS function are fire, employee health, safety, security and environmental. Plant industrial hygiene is addressed through the recognition, evaluation, and control of those plant environmental factors or stresses which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort among the plant employees. The EHS Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the EHS Manager and assist with a variety of environmental, safety and industrial hygiene training, programs, auditing, reporting, projects, and monitoring. The EHS Coordinator interacts with management, supervisors, employees, customers, government agencies, contractors, and vendors. This person must have good interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, and ensure that compliance with Company, local, state, and federal programs is maintained.
