About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Registered Dietitian (RD) in Charlottesville, VA, to join their team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a hybrid schedule, including some remote work. This unique role will support UVA Health's new Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Center, one of only 15 such programs in the U.S. The dietitian will be part of a team of over 80 Morrison Healthcare dietitians at this level one trauma center, which includes a 675-bed inpatient setting and over 35 outpatient clinics. Dietitians at this facility are integral to multidisciplinary teams, participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are encouraged to pursue leadership and community service experiences. The position primarily involves one-on-one outpatient care for patients with complex nutrition concerns related to EDS, such as gastroparesis, POTS, disordered eating, ARFID, IBS, malabsorption, food intolerances, and malnutrition, with a small volume of patients requiring enteral nutrition support. The role is predominantly remote, with up to 1.5 days per week on-site.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable

Responsibilities
