About The Position

Under general supervision and following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, is limited to and performs the neurodiagnostic procedures EEG, continuous EEG(cEEG) and cEEG pruning and clipping as requested, until professional ABRET registry, R.EEGT. or R.EPT., is achieved. Assists Neuro Special Procedures Technologists 1-3, Neuro Monitoring 2 Technologist and Neurology Physician team, as defined by job duties, as requested. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission and vision of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

• Has successfully graduated from or within 90 days of graduation from a Neurodiagnostics/EEG program with graduation certificate
• be ABRET Board eligible to attempt the R.EEGT. or R.EPT. examination.
• May not advance in the Neuro Special Procedure Technician career ladder without obtaining R EEGT or R EPT registry.

Nice To Haves

• R.EEGT. or R.EPT. registry preferred within eighteen (18) months of hire.
