About The Position

This role is for an EEG Technician located in Milwaukee, WI, at Columbia St Mary’s Milwaukee, within the Neurodiagnostic Lab. It is a full-time position with a rotating shift schedule. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
• Healthcare experience required, preferably in EEG/Neurodiagnostics field
• Or experience as PCT, Lab Tech, EKG Tech, or other healthcare position that involves work with patients is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and provide necessary instructions prior to the procedure.
• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to the electroencephalograph machine leads.
• Monitor the patient throughout the procedure, identifying and correcting for artifacts while reporting any abnormal findings.
• Edit and forward results to the attending physician for final analysis and interpretation.
