What you get to do: As an Educator(Guest Messaging), you will: Educate guests about veterinary medicine and conservation Interpret veterinary procedures in real-time, and at animal habitats throughout the park Facilitate animal and conservation related activities and demonstrations Create enrichment items for various species at the request of animal caretaker staff Lead tours of the Animal Care Center facility and promote tour products. Serve as a positive role model for internal and external guests by adhering to company standards on wardrobe, conduct, safety, cleanliness, and timeliness at all times Perform other duties as required – may include diet preparation, assisting with camps/tours operations, cleaning, etc What it takes to succeed:

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to provide outstanding guest service
  • Ability to work 28 hours a week
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc.
  • Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • This position requires walking, standing, bending and overhead reaching
  • Ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
  • Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
  • Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must submit resume to be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education, Animal Science, Psychology, Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
  • Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
  • Prior guest/customer service experience preferred
