About The Position

Nahant Public Schools is seeking dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Professionals (ESPs). These positions provide both instructional and non-instructional support to students in Grades Pre-K through 6, under the supervision of a certified teacher. Position Overview: The ESP plays a vital role in supporting inclusive education by assisting students with diverse needs. This includes academic, behavioral, and daily living support in a variety of school settings.

Requirements

Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively with staff, and support students with empathy and professionalism.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.

Responsibilities

Assist students with general and special education needs to promote inclusion, learning, and academic success.
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instruction delivered by the classroom teacher.
Support classroom setup, preparation of instructional materials, and general organization.
Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and during transitions.
Promote and support positive behavior to maintain a safe and respectful school environment.
Provide assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students, staff, and school matters.
Any other responsibilities assigned by Principal or Supt.
