About The Position
Registered Behavior Technician (Job ID 1117) Immediate Opening Full Time/Academic Calendar 185 days + option for additional work in Extended School Year Non-Exempt Hourly Rate Range: $25.00 to $29.00 BEAM Elementary School, Danbury, CT Major Responsibilities & Requirements: Provide patient and supportive instructional assistance to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs Experience with implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan Identify areas and possible solutions to maximize the fidelity of data collection and of implementation of interventions Collection of, and on-going maintenance of, behavioral and instructional data Proactive communication and collaboration with the school team Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have taken and passed the ParaPro test or have 2 years post-secondary education (minimum 60 credits) or Associates Degree or higher
- Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or be willing to immediately participate in coursework and training to become an RBT
- Excellent professionalism and communication skills
- Consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
- Ability to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
Responsibilities
