About The Position

Position Overview: Wellan Montessori School is seeking an experienced Education Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full time position beginning in late August 2026. Wellan's Education Technology Teacher teaches classes in computer science, information technology, digital citizenship, and STEAM, including coding, 3D printing, robotics, and other related technologies, to students in grades 2–8. Through a project-based, hands-on approach, the Education Technology Teacher designs and implements an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. The Education Technology Teacher encourages students to explore complex ideas, think independently and collaboratively, and develop resilience through experimentation and thoughtful risk-taking in a safe, innovative learning environment. In partnership with classroom teachers, the Education Technology Teacher integrates Technology Literacy Standards across subject areas. The Education Technology Teacher inspires students to pursue excellence, build confidence in their abilities, and approach challenges with persistence and integrity. By guiding students to use technology as creators, not just consumers, the Education Technology Teacher helps them develop the skills and mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities, build responsible technology habits, and safely navigate an ever-evolving world of AI. In addition to teaching during the school day, the Education Technology Teacher : Coordinates several after-school technology programs Serves on Wellan's Technology Support Team, providing technology support to the school community The successful candidate is organized, flexible, and collaborative; demonstrates strong classroom management skills; communicates effectively; and is passionate about empowering students as capable, creative, and responsible users of technology. Hours and Supervision: Full Time, 40 hours per week, with attendance at night and weekend events outside of regular hours as needed.
