About The Position

The Education Support Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality professional development to Nevada's real estate community. Working alongside the Education Coordinator, this position helps manage POST and continuing education (CE) courses required for licensure by the Nevada Real Estate Division (NRED) and professional designations through NAR. The role combines administrative excellence, classroom presence, member engagement, and regulatory compliance, making every day dynamic and impactful for a detail-driven, people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and virtual platforms including Zoom and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across phone, email, and in-person settings.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules to support educational events.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable in both public-facing and behind-the-scenes roles.
  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for educational inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins.
  • Provide information about educational requirements, resources, and upcoming courses.
  • Register members for courses; process payments, cancellations, and refunds as needed.
  • Assist the Education Coordinator in maintaining the annual education calendar.
  • Schedule instructors, review course materials for NAC and NRS compliance, and coordinate course audits.
  • Maintain attendee sign-in sheets; submit records to NRED and issue course completion certificates.
  • Maintain electronic documentation for each course and report compliance records to NRED as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute course materials in both physical and PDF formats.
  • Send reminders to registered attendees and follow-up communications highlighting future course opportunities.
  • Moderate virtual courses to ensure compliance with NRED requirements.
  • Coordinate food and beverage ordering for in-person educational events.
  • Maintain and update the Association calendar for all educational courses.
  • Be on-site for every class to assist with technology, setup, teardown, and cleanup — traveling between Reno and Carson City offices as needed.
  • Adjust breaks and lunches to meet the needs of each class.
  • Maintain classroom computers: perform weekly updates, check for damage or missing equipment, and coordinate IT maintenance as needed.
  • Report damaged or missing equipment to the Vice-President of Operations and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Support daily office management across Reno and Carson City locations, as assigned.
  • Attend Education & Instructor Committee meetings alongside the CEO and Education Coordinator.
  • Assist the Education Coordinator with projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) and Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) related to real estate licensure.
  • Lift and transport items up to 25 lbs.
